I may have left Family Medicine physically, but emotionally my heart and thoughts are with my extended family at UTMB. I've talked to Linda and Louis and have tried a few others without success but have found out that everyone is safe. I've gone over in my mind many times as to who lives where and worried about the damage. Though we never want to loose the material "things" most valuable to us,the most important "thing" is life itself. I saw a video of Galveston and the reporter went to Rudy and Paco's...I remembered and laughed, then cried as I thought about the residency lunches there. There is a lot of work ahead but I am confident that Family Medicine will come back stronger than before. Rebuild like the wise man who built his house upon the rock...not the foolish man who built on the sand. Keep up the good work! You are the best!!! Jackie
