UTMB back to normal operations after Harvey
In the wake of Tropical Storm Harvey, UTMB returned to “normal operations” on Friday, Sept. 1, 2017.
Fortunately, all of our hospitals and emergency rooms in Galveston, League City and Angleton Danbury were able to remain open during Harvey to meet the health needs of our communities.
- Most of our clinics reopened on Thursday, Aug. 31.
- Classes for all UTMB schools began Tuesday, Sept. 5.
Resuming normal operations means we will be able to more fully serve our patients, students and communities, even as we support one another in our local recovery efforts. Although life in our communities is not “normal” right now, it is important for us to come together to be there for those who depend on us.
